WILLIAMSBURG — The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) announced Monday it had identified the body discovered in a retention pond last month on the 5000 block of Olive Drive in a New Town residential area.

The body has been positively identified by police as that of Jad T. Blair, a 21-year-old James City County resident.

A pedestrian discovered the body while walking along a roadway in the area on Jan. 25.

JCCPD thanked those who submitted tips and shared information.

The investigation is still underway, according to police, but foul play is not suspected at this time.
