This city is offering free GED classes

HAMPTON — The city schools’ Adult and Alternative Learning Center is offering a GED class to eligible adults at the Adult Education Center.

The class is free and is open to city government and city schools staff, families and friends.

According to the city schools’ announcement, the GED class includes assessments and official tests and there are multiple enrollment dates available. See list of times below:

  • Jan. 7, 14 at 9 a.m.
  • Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29 at 5 p.m.

The GED classes are at the Adult and Alternative Education departments of Hampton City Schools, 1646 Briarfield Road and start Monday, Jan. 7 at 9 a.m.
