HAMPTON — The Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center will host a food business educational workshop next week.
This workshop is for those interested in starting a small food business and advanced registration is required, according to the event website.
The Hampton Roads SBDC is a nonprofit that provides business consulting, classes and other resources for small businesses with 99 employees or less, according to the SBDC website.

Representatives from the food industry will also attend the workshop and include the Virginia Department of Health, the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority and the Newport News Commissioner of Revenue Office, according to a news release from the city.
The What You Need to Know About Starting a Food Business workshop will be at the Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center, 600 Butler Farm Road, Room 1118, on Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Tickets costs $10 and space is limited, so pre-registration is required.
