HAMPTON — The Downtown Hampton Development Partnership is taking a loose approach to the Running of the Bulls event held annually in different cities around the world.
The city development partnership is hosting the “Rolling of the Bulls” starting at 3 p.m. on July 14 in downtown Hampton.
The Rolling of the Bulls will feature participants running from Dominion Derby Girls on skates with whiffle ball bats, according to a news release from the Hampton Visitors Bureau.
The Dominion Derby Girls, based in Hampton Roads, are an all female flat track roller derby league.

The evening of festivities will also include a tomato fight and live music.
