YORK COUNTY— The Tidewater Chapter of American’s for Prosperity are inviting the public to attend the Revolutionary Roots Celebration in honor of the country’s 250th birthday.

At the Hornsby House Inn in Yorktown on April 19 from 3-6 p.m., families can immerse themselves in revolutionary history at the free event.

“AFP-VA is celebrating America’s 250th Birthday a little early, highlighting Virginia’s unique role in America’s founding through family fun and educational opportunities.  Not only will it highlight our past and very important historic founding, but it will hopefully inspire the Virginians who attend to take an active part in America’s next 250 years,” Michael Allers, Regional Communications Manager of the AFP-VA chapter, said.

Activities include music, special guests, revolutionary era games, historical memorabilia, veteran appreciation, reenactments, food and beverages, and prize drawings.

Those interested in attending should RSVP to Lora Smith at [email protected].
