WILLIAMSBURG — Fife and Drum Corps from around the nation descended on Williamsburg last weekend to participate in the annual Drummers Call.
The 2025 Drummer’s Call weekend featured the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes & Drums, 1st Michigan Colonial Fife and Drum Corps, Civil War Field Music 1st Pennsylvania PRVC, Field Musick of the American Revolution, Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums Alumni, Fifes and Drums of York Town, Guilford Courthouse Fifes and Drum Corps and Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes and Drums.
On May 17, visiting groups along with the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums participated in a torchlit march down Duke of Gloucester Street. The groups played 18th-century field music as they marched from the Palace Green to the Capitol during the parade.
