The Valvoline in Lightfoot has opened.
Kentucky-based Valvoline announced March 19 the opening of Virginia’s sixth company-owned Valvoline quick lube, in Williamsburg at 6393 Richmond Road.
It is the only Valvoline in Williamsburg, the company wrote in a news release.
The quick lube will let customers stay in their vehicles while it is serviced by Valvoline technicians. Oil changes take about 15 minutes, and preventative maintenance such as transmission, radiator and air-conditioning services; safety parts replacement, including wiper blades and light bulbs; and tire rotation are also available.
Customers do not need an appointment.
The shop sits in front of Harris Teeter, and was constructed around the same time as an adjacent building slated to house a Panera and dentist’s office.

The opening of the Valvoline was delayed from when originally expected. A company spokeswoman told WYDaily in April 2018 she expected the business to be open in fall 2018.
The Panera Bread website shows the Lightfoot location is also now open. The business has an existing location in New Town as well.
The dentist’s office, Dental Care of Lightfoot, is also now open.
