Know before you go: VDOT’s weekly lane closures

Drivers on Interstate 64 should expect a series of nightly lane closures — and possibly some delays — through the week.

As a result of VDOT’s I-64 widening project certain ramps and lanes will experience closures from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2.

Closures

Berkley Bridge, alternation single-lane closures east and west, Jan. 28-29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, single lane closures Jan 28-31 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
East from Route 60 exit 243A to Route 238 Yorktown Road, single lane closures Jan. 25-26 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
From route 238 Yorktown Road to route 143 west, single lane closures Jan. 25-26 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
I-64 east and west from Colonial Parkway to Lee Hall, alternating single-lane closures Jan. 27-31, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. eastbound and from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. westbound
I-64 east and west from route 199 exit 234 to route 199 exit 242, single-lane closures Jan. 27-31 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Lakeside Drive and Colonial Parkway at the I-64 overpass, lane closures under flagger control Jan. 28-Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
I-64 express lanes, full lane closures in both directions Feb. 2 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
