VDOT: Crash involving 2 tractor-trailers causes ‘major delays’ on I-64

Update 6:45 p.m.: All travel lanes on I-64 have reopened and the detour has been lifted.

Original story: A crash on I-64 westbound has caused “major delays,” according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The crash involved two tractor-trailers and all westbound travel lanes are blocked before Camp Peary, as of 1:45 p.m.

Traffic is being detoured at Exit 242A, according to an email from VDOT.

Traffic is backed up two miles.
