A 31-year-old woman who was reported missing Tuesday has been found safe in West Point, police said.
Jessica Cox was located Friday morning.
Cox was reported missing after she did not show up at a scheduled appointment on Monday, according to James City County Police spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.
A relative called police the following day and requested a welfare check, stating Cox’s phone went straight to voicemail when they attempted to call her.
Officers went to Cox’s home in James City County, but did not find either Cox or her vehicle.
The missing person’s report stated Jessica Cox is pregnant, and that she had an argument with her boyfriend Sunday night or early Monday morning.
Cox left to go to a relative’s home, but did not show up at that house.
“She reportedly made contact with that relative and her boyfriend via text message Monday morning at approximately 8 a.m.,” James City County Police spokeswoman Stephanie Williams wrote in an email.
The last time family communicated with Cox was around 8 a.m. Monday.
