NORFOLK — A Riverview hotdog spot will be closing for good.
After a short-lived stint on Granby Street, The Barking Dog will be closing its doors, according to owner Sean Pepe.
The Hampton-based eatery opened its Norfolk location back in the spring.
While a specific closure date for the restaurant has not yet been set, Pepe said there is a chance the location could be repurposed.
“We’re going to re-brand it,” said Pepe. “We’re probably going to use it as a test kitchen and come up with some new concepts, but it’s just not doing the volume that our other restaurants are doing.”
According to Pepe, he is currently working to find employment for current employees at the Norfolk location that would like to work at any of his other restaurants in Hampton Roads.
