Armed bank robbery in York County, police seek suspect

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who allegedly robbed a York County branch of the First Advantage Federal Credit Union at gunpoint on Saturday afternoon.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, the man robbed the bank — located in the 200-block of Commons Way — just after 1 p.m. He left on foot with an “undisclosed amount of money.”

Police described the man as about six feet tall, black with a slender build, the release said.

The man was wearing khaki pants, black tennis shoes, a striped dress shirt, a Redskins hat, a black face mask and glasses, police said.
