
A 60-year-old man was injured when a camper caught fire in Norfolk on Wednesday morning.
The camper, which was parked in the 2900 block of Mapleton Avenue, caught fire around 9:35 a.m. Firefighters found an injured man standing outside the camper when they arrived about 14 minutes later, according to a Norfolk Fire-Rescue news release.
The man was taken to a local trauma center and is expected to survive.
A nearby home, garage and truck were damaged by the fire. The fire was under control by 9:50 a.m. and the cause is under investigation.
