A grand opening is planned for the newly reopened Arby’s on Richmond Road, which remained closed for most of the summer.
Moe Ghassemi, one of the owners, said the restaurant changed hands in August. He said the restaurant, located between Fireside Chophouse Bar and Grill and The Christmas Mouse, had to remain closed while internal matters were addressed and legal paperwork was completed.
The restaurant, which reopened Nov. 11, underwent minor improvements, including a fresh coat of paint and the addition of new televisions.
Ghassemi retained half of the old staff and is in the process of training and hiring new staff members.
He expects to host a grand opening in December after staff training is completed.
The Richmond Road Arby’s is one of two in York County; the other is located on George Washington Memorial Highway in Yorktown near the Fort Eustis Boulevard intersection.
