An hourslong argument resulted in the arrest of a woman who is accused of wielding a knife and injuring a man.
Nikki Corvette Meekins, a 29-year-old James City County resident, was charged with felony malicious wounding Sunday.
James City County Police responded to the 100 block of Williamson Drive off Centerville Road around 10:25 a.m. regarding a report that a man was struck in head with a knife, authorities said.
The 31-year-old James City County man told police he and Meekins were arguing when she grabbed the knife and cut him with it, leaving him with a 1-inch-long cut on his forehead.
“It looks like the argument had been going on and off through the entire night,” Stephanie Williams of the James City County Police Department said. She said the man had repeatedly left his house and come back throughout the night to continue arguing.
