York Deputies Seek Same Suspect in Two Restaurant Robberies

YorK Sheriff PatchDeputies are looking for a man believed to have robbed two Chinese restaurants along George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17) last week.

The first robbery occurred at Main Moon in the Farm Fresh shopping center on Thursday night. The suspect entered the store, displayed a black handgun and demanded money. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store in an unknown direction, according to a post on the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

The second robbery occurred at the Hong Kong Restaurant in the Heritage Square Shopping Center on Saturday night. The suspect followed the same pattern as the first robbery, though investigators were able to determine he fled the store heading north, according to the post

The suspect is a white male between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7 with a thin build. During the Main Moon robbery, he wore a black hooded sweatshirt and a black mask, according to the post. He wore a dark green baseball cap, a dark checkered jacket with red, black and blue stripes, dark sweatpants, black gloves and a cloth face covering during the Hong Kong Restaurant robbery.
