The Williamsburg Pottery celebrates 80th anniversary

The Williamsburg Pottery celebrated its’ 80th Anniversary at the Kingsmill Resort on August 16, 2018.  Mrs. Kim Maloney, President and CEO, hosted the party, taking guests back through time with slideshows of the late Mr. Jimmy Maloney and his evolution of the company since 1938.

Mrs. Kim Maloney carries on Jimmy’s legacy of giving back to the community every year with gracious charitable donations to: W&M Tribe, W&M Confucius Institute, Meals on Wheels, Faith in Action, Red Cross, James City County Fire & EMS, York County Fire & EMS, James City County Police Dept, and scholarships to students from each of the local high schools. It is this community involvement that attracted many local and state representatives to acknowledge the success and importance of the Williamsburg Pottery.

Governor Ralph Northam attended and congratulated Mrs. Kim Maloney for carrying on Jimmy Maloney’s Legacy along with Gov. Bob McDonnell, Gov Jim Gilmore, Gov. Doug Wilder, Barry DuVal, Sheila Noll, and many other state and local officials.

The Williamsburg Pottery will be continuing it’s anniversary celebration throughout the remainder of the year with many local events, such as a classic car show the JCC Fire & Rescue is hosting, on September 8th 2018.
