YORK COUNTY — Primrose School of Yorktown hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its new location in Yorktown on June 26.

The Primrose School of Yorktown is the first in York County and is set to open in winter 2025. The center will offer educational childcare experiences for children ages 0-5.

The school offers an exclusive, research-informed, balanced learning curriculum that blends purposeful play with nurturing guidance. According to the school, the curriculum helps inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion.

The school will have 13 classrooms and will serve up to 198 students. The center will also create 26 full- and part-time jobs in the county.

We’re honored to bring the Primrose experience to Yorktown, a community we’ve proudly called home since 2019,” said Amber Lempke, Franchise Owner of Primrose School of Yorktown. “As a parent who once struggled to find quality child care, I was inspired to create a space where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn. We believe the first five years are the most important years in a child’s life, and we’re committed to nurturing each child’s potential to inspire a lifelong love of learning.”

The school will be located at 427 Grafton Drive, Yorktown.
