Anchor Cove is the newest neighborhood coming to Williamsburg Landing (Williamsburg Landing)

WILLIAMSBURG — The Board of Directors of Williamsburg Landing unanimously approved an expansion project that will add 39 new independent living residences, as well as a community center that will include a state-of-the-art, 300-seat resident community theater, and studio space for artists and musicians, it announced.

The expansion is planned for the property adjacent to Williamsburg Landing. Construction is slated to begin in November 2023, with a targeted occupancy date of fall 2024. The new neighborhood will be known as Anchor Cove.

New residents will be able to choose from a variety of home models ranging from 1,680 square feet to 2,400 square feet, according to Williamsburg Landing. The project was designed by Guernsey-Tingle and WM Jordan will serve as the General Contractor.

Williamsburg Landing is a fully accredited life plan community set on 153 acres offering a comprehensive lifestyle for senior adults.

“It’s like going back to college, but with upscale dining and no homework”, said Lisa Bates, Chief Marketing Officer.

Residents can enjoy the social aspects of living within their peer group, surrounded by a variety of planned events/activities, dining options, and guaranteed access to higher levels of care as needed, including assisted living, memory support, skilled and long-term nursing. Additionally, there are tax/estate planning benefits and financial protection for those who outlive their resources, through no fault of their own.
