JAMES CITY COUNTY — Due to the forecast for inclement weekend weather, including heavy rain and wind, James City County announced Harvest Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23 has been canceled.
The county said weather conditions predicted this weekend would impact both set up and the day of activities.
The annual fall event was to take place at Chickahominy Riverfront Park. Highlights included free activities for kids and live music.
While Harvest Festival has been canceled, the county said Scarecrow Stuffing will return as a program in the fall, and it would be providing more information soon.
