Sherman College of Chiropractic Spring 2023 President’s List
Charity Choice of Yorktown has been named to Sherman College of Chiropractic’s President’s List for the Spring 2023 academic quarter. President’s List students have achieved a grade point average of 4.0 for the quarter.
Sherman College of Chiropractic is located on an 80-acre campus in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Western Carolina University Spring 2023 Dean’s List
Western Carolina University congratulated more than 3,000 students named to the Spring 2023 Dean’s List, including:
- Elliott Sowers of Williamsburg
- Jennifer Wagner of Yorktown
To qualify for this honor, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher while completing 12 or more credit hours.
Western Carolina University is the westernmost institution in the University of North Carolina System.
Jackson Lauber Named to College of the Holy Cross’ Spring 2023 Dean’s List
Jackson Lauber of Williamsburg was named to the College of the Holy Cross Spring 2023 Dean’s List.
A member of the Class of 2025, Lauber was named to the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year.
To qualify, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
The College of the Holy Cross is located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Zachary Smith Named to Hamilton College Spring 2023 Dean’s List
Zachary Smith of Williamsburg has been named to the Dean’s List at Hamilton College for the spring 2023 semester.
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have carried a course load of four or more graded credits throughout the semester and earned an average GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.
Smith, a rising junior majoring in biology, is a graduate of Marthas Vineyard Regional High School. Hamilton College is located in Clinton, New York.
Local Students Graduate from the University of Vermont
UVM President Suresh Garimella conferred degrees on an estimated 3,383 graduates at the university’s 222nd Commencement ceremony. Speaking on the spirit of excellence, the Honorable Sethuraman Panchanathan, director of the U.S. National Science Foundation, delivered the keynote address.
The following local students earned bachelor’s degrees from UVM:
- Mary Kueser, of Williamsburg, graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s in Public Communication.
- Madeline Lerz, of Williamsburg, graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s in Forestry.
- Danshi Antinoph, of Yorktown, graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s in Philosophy and Film and Television Studies.
Shenandoah Has 294 Student-Athletes Named To ODAC All-Academic Team
Shenandoah University, in Winchester, had a school-record 294 student-athletes named to the 2022-23 Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, the conference recently announced.
Among the list of honorees are:
- Mallory Holup of Seaford
- James Anderson of Williamsburg
- Corey Kidwell of Yorktown
- Allen Outten of Williamsburg
- Peter Overton of Toano
- Isaac Tucker of Williamsburg
- Stephen Graham of Yorktown

Jade Robinson named to President’s List at Coastal Carolina University
More than 1,000 students were named to the President’s List at Coastal Carolina University for the Spring 2023 semester, including Jade Robinson, from Williamsburg.
Students who made the President’s List have achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the semester.
More than 2,400 students make Spring 2023 Dean’s List at CCU
More than 2,400 undergraduate students at Coastal Carolina University were named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2023 semester. Students who make the Dean’s List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (3.25 for freshmen) for the semester.

The University of Hartford, in Connecticut, announce James Seufzer of Yorktown has been named to the Dean’s List for Spring 2023.
Anna Rayno named to the Dean’s List at Palmer College of Chiropractic
Anna Rayno of Williamsburg has been named to the spring 2023 Dean’s List at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Main Campus in Davenport, Iowa.
Yenna Chu graduates from Tufts University
Tufts University awarded more than 2,800 degrees across all schools during its ceremony commemorating the accomplishments of the Class of 2023.
Yenna Chu of Yorktown graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (BA).
Tufts University Announces Spring 2023 Dean’s List
Tufts University recently announced the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
The following earned Dean’s List honors:

Tufts University is located on campuses in Boston, Medford/Somerville and Grafton, Massachusetts, and in Talloires, France.
Kara Peterson Named to Dean’s List at St. Mary’s College of Maryland
Kara Peterson, a resident of Williamsburg, was awarded Dean’s List honors for academic achievement during the spring 2023 semester at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, the National Public Honors College.
Dean’s List honors are awarded to full-time students at St. Mary’s College who earn a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or better on 12 or more graded credits.
St. Mary’s College is nestled on the St. Mary’s River in Southern Maryland.
