Kenny Loggins (Virginia Arts Festival)

WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg Live, Virginia Arts Festival’s 2023 summer music event on the Lawn of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg is this weekend, including a performance by Kenny Loggins on what he is calling his final tour.

Rounding out the headliners under the stars are roots rockers The Wood Brothers and five-time Grammy winner Keb’ Mo’.

“We’re looking forward to Williamsburg Live this year and are proud of this season’s lineup of artists. The Lawn of the Art Museums is a fantastic setting for concerts and this event is a great way to welcome tourists and kickoff the summer season,” said Virginia Arts Festival Executive Director/Perry Artistic Director Rob Cross.

The Wood Brothers (Virginia Arts Festival)

The festivities kick off on Friday, June 16 with Americana fan favorites The Wood Brothers. Opening the show will be the South Carolina-based husband-and-wife Folk duo Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst, who perform as Shovels & Rope.

Saturday sees the aforementioned Loggins performing as part of his farewell tour in a show he says on his website will feature music spanning his more than four-decade career. Opening for Loggins is Yacht Rock Revue, a group that not only has become a renowned yacht rock cover band, but now features its signature sound in original music on its album, “Hot Dads in Tight Jeans.”

Keb’ Mo’ (Virginia Arts Festival)

Sunday night features bluesman and five-time Grammy winner Keb’ Mo’, whose music mixes classic blues with country, pop, soul, R&B and Americana with Peter One, a musician from Cote d’Ivoire who lives in Nashville and who’s music reflects that journey.

With ten food trucks scheduled to attend, music lovers are encouraged to bring an appetite. There will also be beer and wine for purchase.
