WILLIAMSBURG — The City of Williamsburg is inviting the public to help place flags on the graves of veterans at Cedar Grove Cemetery at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 25.
According to the city, participants can “join the Patrick Henry Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans, Rotary Club of James City County, Salvation Army of Williamsburg, Cedar Grove Historical Society, veterans, and representatives from the Williamsburg Police and Fire departments as they place more than 500 flags in honor of Memorial Day.”
Anyone interested should meet Caretaker Bill Brown at the flagpole at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 809 S. Henry St. Thursday morning. Flags will be provided.
