With the game tied in sixth inning, Hampton Roads Academy’s baseball team batted around for nine runs in the bottom of the frame to pull away and beat Trinity Episcopal 16-7 at home Friday.
Eric Massengill had a big day at the plate driving in five runs, including a grand slam home run to lead the Navigators, who won their second game in as many days to improve to 2-7 on the season.
HRA also got solid offensive contributions from Ari Snyder and Bruce Reid, who each went 2-4 at the plate with a double and two RBI.
