Linda “Darlene” Roberts, 63, of Richmond, Va., departed this life suddenly on March 28, 2026. She was born on October 29, 1962, to the late Chester Roberts, Sr., and Doris Ann Roberts.
Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Chester Roberts, Sr., and her brothers, Chester Roberts, Jr., and Jason Roberts.
Darlene accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church at the age of eight. She graduated from New Kent High School and later attended Virginia Commonwealth University.
Darlene was employed for many years with the Richmond City Sheriff’s Department. She later continued her dedication to service through her work in security at Bon Secours – Richmond Community Hospital, where she concluded her career. She enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and was known as a quiet, loving, and steady presence to those around her.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her mother, Doris Ann Roberts; her aunts Clara Winston, Thelma Johnson, Carolyn Goode, and Patrice Rodgers; her uncle Rawlin Otey (Valerie); nieces LaChelle, LaShawn, and LaToya; nephews LaVar and Chester III; and her devoted best friend, Lynette Johnson. And a host of cousins and friends.
