Jesse was a man of faith who loved the Lord and was a lifetime member of Samaria Baptist Church. He was a proud citizen of the Chickahominy Indian Tribe. Jesse was in the Army, serving all over the United States. He loved his family earnestly, was an avid Bluegrass and Gospel music listener, was a diehard Ford fan, enjoyed Nascar racing, WWE, and porch sitting. He loved visiting with his grandchildren, reminiscing about his Army days, telling jokes, sitting in the hall at church on Sundays while greeting everyone coming in, and he never met a stranger.
Special thanks to those who have loved and supported Jesse over the years and especially during his illness, Helen Adkins, Wilbur Adkins, Julian Stewart and Pastor Jay Hurley for his unfailing support, prayers, and visits.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chickahominy Indian Tribe, 8200 Lott Cary Rd, Providence Forge, VA 23140.
