James Patrick Steele, born on January 25, 1965, in Ohio, passed away on March 1, 2026, in Virginia, at the age of 61.
James dedicated much of his life to his craft as a brick mason with the Atlantic Foundation. His meticulous work and dedication to his profession left a lasting mark on numerous projects throughout his career.
In his personal life, James found joy in the simple pleasures. He was an avid music enthusiast, often found with headphones on, lost in the rhythm and melody of his favorite tunes. He also had a fondness for playing board games, where he would gather with family and friends for evenings filled with laughter and friendly competition. James had a deep affection for cats, cherishing their companionship and unique personalities.
James was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Ernest Steele; his grandmother, Alice Cain Capps; and his grandfather, Homer F. Orebaugh.
He is survived by his mother, Sherilyn Orebaugh Steele; his brother, Jason Scott Steele; his sister, Angela Gail Steele; and his niece, Amorita Elizabeth Cordona. James will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who will remember him for his warm heart and gentle spirit.
