It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Alan Kommer Jr., who departed from this world on February 18, 2026, at the age of 44. Born on November 4, 1981, in Norfolk, Virginia, David spent his life in the city that shaped him, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
David was a dedicated HVAC technician in the construction industry. His work ethic and commitment were evident in every project he undertook, bringing warmth and comfort to countless homes and families. His career was not just a job, but a testament to his skill and dedication to his craft.
Beyond his professional life, David had a passion for exploration and collection. He found joy in collecting drones, using them to capture breathtaking aerial views of his beloved Norfolk. Through these pursuits, he discovered new perspectives and shared them with those around him, showing us all the beauty of looking at the world from different angles. Additionally, David was an avid collector of swords, finding intrigue and artistry in each piece he acquired.
Known for his charisma and charm, David loved being a ladies’ man, always spreading smiles and laughter wherever he went. His vibrant spirit and infectious energy were truly inspiring, endearing him to friends and family alike.
David is preceded in death by his brother, Justin Kommer, and his father. He leaves behind his loving mother, Ann Marie Fitzgerald, and his devoted sister, Dawn Kommer.
