Ida Elizabeth Johnson Garner, 89 of Quinton, Virginia departed this life on December 14, 2025.
She was the daughter of the late Sylvester M. and Elizabeth R. Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Garner, Jr.; her sisters, Mary J. Carter and Sylvia J. Anderson El; and her brothers, Conway Richardson, Sylvester, Robert and James Johnson.
Ida was retired from The Virginia ABC Board in Richmond, VA. Later she worked at a Daycare Center in Quinton, VA, and enjoyed working with the children. She loved making flower arrangements. She had beautiful flower beds in her yard, and lots of house plants. She also liked talking to her friends on the phone.
She is survived by one sister, Barbara J. Charity, and two brothers, Irving M. Johnson, Sr. (Delores) and Howard W. Johnson (Gloria), Sisters-in-law, Thelma O. Johnson, Shirley Johnson and Sandra G. Jefferson (Samuel), and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
