Michael Allen Hughes, born on June 19, 1992, passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 33 in Williamsburg, VA.
Michael was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend who will be remembered for his love of fishing, playing Xbox, and his passion for outdoor activities. His adventurous spirit and enthusiasm for life brought joy to all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Hughes and Bobby Drewry Sr.; grandmothers, Doris Bissette and Izeta Hogge; and sisters, Amra Drewry and Jamie Buckner.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Karen Baskett (DeeDee); his father, Bobby Drewry Jr.; his stepfather, Mike Baskett; his cherished daughter, McKenzie Hughes; his unborn daughter, Emori Hughes; his brother, Dallas Hughes, and sister-in-law, Teresa Hughes; his fiancée, Stacy Walton; his grandmother, Carolyn Hughes; nephews, Jason Byrd and Zachary Suttle; niece, Alia Tarantini; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at the Williamsburg Moose Ballroom, 5429 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188, on August 9, 2025, from 3 PM to 6 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember the wonderful moments shared with Michael.
Michael’s legacy lives on through the memories of those who loved him dearly. May he rest in peace.
