Amy Michelle Warren (Altmeyer Funeral Home)

Amy Michelle Warren, born on February 8, 1968, spread joy and laughter throughout her 55 years of life. On January 31, 2024, Amy’s dazzling light dimmed, leaving behind a world that will forever miss her vibrant spirit. Born in Virginia and passing away in Portsmouth, Virginia, Amy’s zest for life was evident in everything she did.

While Amy may have started her career as a housekeeper at Bon Secours Medical facility, her true passion was in dancing through life. Whether it was twirling around the kitchen while cooking up delicious meals or busting moves on the dance floor, Amy knew how to make every moment a celebration. Her love for food extended beyond cooking, as she had a penchant for devouring delectable dishes.

Amy’s unique talents didn’t stop at dancing and cooking. She was also a cleaning aficionado, turning the mundane task into an art form. With her favorite tunes playing in the background, from country to rock ‘n’ roll, Amy managed to make even the most arduous chores seem like a symphony. Among her favorite choices was a local band called “Bandit” to which she showed immense love and pride for.

Not only did Amy have rhythm in her soul, but she also had a deep appreciation for fashion. Clothes shopping was her therapy, and she always knew how to find the perfect outfit for any occasion.

When autumn came around, Amy donned her football pride and became an avid fan of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Cheering on her favorite team brought her immense joy, and she embraced the excitement of each game with unwavering enthusiasm.

Amy’s connection to her community was evident through her membership in the Suffolk Moose Lodge. She cherished the bonds she formed there and took pride in contributing to the camaraderie and support within the group.

Amy’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones. She joins her beloved parents, Wilton Hedgepeth and Amelia Brinkley, stepfather George Babb, brother Raby Hedgepeth, and first husband Ronnie Vick, in eternal rest.

Amy is survived by her devoted spouse of 8 years, Cecil Warren, her sons Jason Vick (April) and Walter Vick (Lindsey), stepchildren Billy Vick, Don Vick, and Rebecca Pantschyschak (Robby), as well as her cherished grandchild Weston Vick. Her brothers Glenn Hedgepeth (Phyllis) and Barry Hedgepeth, and sister Melissa Howell (James), will hold her memory close to their hearts, alongside numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

As we bid farewell to Amy Michelle Warren, let us remember the vibrancy she brought to our lives. Her contagious laughter, love for music, and zest for all things good will forever resonate within us. May her spirit continue to dance through our memories, guiding us to live life to the fullest, just as she did.
