Donna Lynn Byrne-McKee, 66, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away on January 23, 2024. She was born on August 27, 1957, in Middletown, Connecticut. Donna was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Deveny) Byrne.
Donna was always passionate about her family, and is survived by her four siblings, Dianna Peterson of Chesapeake, Virginia, Patricia Sobieski (Karl) of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, Thomas Byrne (Dawn) of Higganum, Connecticut, and Sharon Boyle (Ed) of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Donna attended Mercy High School in Middletown, Connecticut, and furthered her education at Sienna College in Loudonville, New York. She was a dedicated student and valued her education greatly. Donna continued her education to become a psychiatric nurse and truly enjoyed many years helping her patients.
Donna will be remembered for her sense of humor, her love for her dog Sadie, and her strong political views. She brought joy to the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A private memorial service will be held to honor Donna’s life and legacy.
