Toshiko Gillam, 93, passed away on December 28, 2023.
Toshiko was born Toshiko Narishige to Jusabu and Tona Narishige in Sapporo, Japan. She became a resident of the Peninsula area where she resided since 1968. Toshiko was a home maker until the mid-80s when she and her husband, John started working at Bush Gardens. She was a fixture in the Das Festhaus as one of their cashiers. Toshiko was also an award-winning artist in Sumi-e, a Japanese Ink Painting Style.
Toshiko was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John and her daughter, Jamie. She is survived by her grandson, Anthony and son-in-law, David.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Weymouth Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
