Mrs. Anna Wagner, 93, passed peacefully on January 20, 2024, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Wagner was born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late William Augustus and Florence C. Hall. A 1947 graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News, Mrs. Wagner was an active student, being a member of the Glee Club, French Club, Dramatics Club, Klick Club, Home Economics Club, and was on the Warwick Staff.
Accepted to the Commonwealth of Virginia State Teacher’s College in 1947, Mrs. Wagner completed her education in 1950, marrying the late Mr. Albert M. Wagner III of Norfolk, VA that same year. The Wagner’s resided in Newport News, VA, where together they reared three children. Mrs. Wagner was an active member of both Second and Denbigh Presbyterian churches.
Mrs. Wagner is survived by her son, William Albert of Alameda, CA; daughter, Elizabeth W. Byrd of Roanoke, VA; son, John Scott of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A private Graveside Service was held at Peninsula Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
