Charles Blane Sheffield, 52, passed away on September 26, 2023 in Hampton, VA after a long battle with cancer and heart disease.
He was a native of Colonial Heights, VA and the son of the late George D. Sheffield lll and Frances Dale Sheffield McNece.
Charles was a graduate of Colonial Heights High School class of 1988 and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was was known for his quick wit and humor. Charles loved his family, fishing, baseball and the New York Giants football team.
He is survived by his sister, Joey Sheffield Taylor and her husband Lawna Ray Taylor; his brother, G. David Sheffield 4 th and his wife Laura M. Sheffield, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Memorial services with military honors will be held on Friday, October 20, 3 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Charles memory can be made to Colonial Heights Parks and Recreation or the Colonial Heights High School Scholarship Fund in memory of Charles B. Sheffield.
