Richard G. Ransom, 93, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away on March 31, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jennie, and his sister, Susan. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Martha; children Susan Clemens (David), Amy Greenberg (Danny), Jennifer Franklin (Milton), Carol Gray, Adrian Parris and Timothy Parris (Jessica); brothers Kent Ransom and Kirk Ransom (Suzanne); 17 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A graduate of Denison University, he served in the Air Force and retired from GE’s Aircraft Engine Group. He was a long-time resident of Tauxemont and member of Aldersgate Methodist Church and the Mount Vernon Country Club in Fairfax County.
A celebration of his life will be held on his birthday, June 29, 2023, in Williamsburg.
