The purpose for Mary Crump Daniels life ended in this world on October 31, 2022, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia at the age of 93. In Acts 17 God tells us when He brings us here, He has already set the date for our departure.
Mary was born on May 13, 1929, in the home of her parents, John Arthur and Katherine Roberts Crump at 341 York St, Williamsburg. She attended James City County Training School then graduated from Bruton Heights High School.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Jewell Eugene Daniels Sr.; daughter, Wallis Lee Daniels; son, Jewell Eugene Daniels Jr.; grandson, Cory Daniels; great-grandson, Travis Daniels Jr,; five brothers, Alfred, John, Charles, Curtis, Tom; three sisters, Ruth Elizabeth, Jean Faye, and Martha Katherine.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, with her daughters, Linda Daniels Little (Clyster) and Elizabeth Anne Daniels; daughter-in-law, Dorothy White Daniels; nine grandchildren, Jerome Columbus Washington Jr., Stacy Lynn Washington, Sahden Lee Bell, Travis Daniels, David Perry Daniels, Jonathan Daniels, Jewel J. Daniels, Jeremy Daniels, and James Daniels; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Crump Rainey and Shirley Crump Hundley; and a host of many other loving relatives.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clarence Bolton officiating. Live stream will be available at the beginning of the service. Interment to follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Daniels may be viewed on Saturday beginning at 10.00 a.m. until the hour of her service. Facial coverings are required.
