Clement was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to William and Berniece Morrissey. He passed away from natural causes on March 5, 2022 in Newport News, Virginia.

Clem served as a corpsman with the Navy for over 20 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for York County Mosquito Control for approximately 10 years. Clem has resided in Hampton, Virginia for nearly 40 years.  

Clem had immense love for his wife of 37 years, Edith Morrisey and cared for her as she battled Alzheimer’s disease until she passed away in November 2016. He was an absolute gentleman, always showing her complete respect, love, and devotion. They are now reunited for eternity, in Heaven.

Clem had a heart of gold and genuinely cared about others. He loved to socialize and tell stories with family, friends, and even strangers that crossed his path. A few of his passions included working out at the YMCA, woodcarving, playing golf, and watching sports. Clem was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and an avid philanthropist to organizations such as American Cancer Society.

Clem is survived by his sister, Norine Kennedy; brother, Tom Morrissey; his stepchildren, Dale Bull and Dorothy Haskins; granddaughter, Mallery Walker, and great grandchildren, Branson and Bristol.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with inurnment at the church columbarium with Military Honors. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or The American Cancer Society’s, Relay for Life.
