YORKTOWN— The Happiest Hour, a Historic Triangle bartending service, received recognition in “The Knot” for its 2026 “Best of Weddings Winners,” where it was awarded one of the best Bar Services & Beverages.
The Happiest Hour, which is co-owned by local couple David Bains and Leigh Robinson, is a mobile bartending option for parties and occasions. The business officially launched in February 2024. Baines has been in restaurants since he was old enough to do so, and the same applies to bartending — a total of 20 years of bartending experience.
The Happiest Hour was awarded due to the positive reviews and support it has received from its customers.
“Getting that award was unexpected. We didn’t know until we got the email. It wasn’t anything we petitioned for or tried to solicit for or anything like that. I twas just simply because we had so many five-star reviews from people that we had done events for,” said Robinson.
In addition to its bar services, The Happiest Hour also sells “Bar in a Jar” cocktail infusion sets, where customers can purchase pre-selected ingredients the business has placed in a jar and then take them home to mix with their alcohol of choice. These are sold at various farmers’ markets in the area, including Yorktown Market Days and 2nd Sundays.
“We’re just growing in ways that at times we can’t even keep up with. It’s mind-blowing. David and I have to take a step back every once in a while and just breathe and wrap our heads around just how big we’ve gotten and just how much people love the bartending service we provide,” Robinson commented.
The Happiest Hour has also expressed with its bartending service that it is open to doing non-alcoholic events as well. This includes offerings such as dirty sodas or coffee bars. Just because it says bar service, The Happiest Hour doesn’t believe it has to mean alcohol is involved.
It is also offering smaller packages to help accommodate micro weddings or smaller groups of people.
“We appreciate every single person who reaches out to us, asks us a question, mentions us in a conversation, just anything like that,” Robison added. “We appreciate every little bitty thing. We want to tell anybody who will listen about the Happiest Hour, and we just want to be what people think about when they think of a bar service.”
