This city helps residents turn old greeting cards into gift boxes

HAMPTON — The city’s Clean City Commission wants residents to donate old greeting cards.

The cards can be for any occasion but must have the front and back pages.

There is no deadline to donate.

According to the Hampton Clean City Commission’s announcement, the initiative teaches people how to reuse old greeting cards by turning the cards into small gift boxes. See the Facebook tutorial.

To donate, drop off the greeting cards at the Hampton Clean City Commission, 1296 Thomas St. Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For more information or to schedule a workshop, contact Debbie Blanton hccc@hampton.gov or call 757-727-1199.
