Have you always wanted to visit Historic Jamestowne but were wary of the admission fees?
Historic Jamestowne is offering visitors two admission free days with the first day happening in September.
The museum and historic site reopened in June with limited capacity and attractions. Admission typically costs $20 for visitors 16 years old and older while children younger than 15 are free.
“Throughout the year, there are several fee free days at Historic Jamestowne,” according to the news release. “On these select days, there are no admission fees.”
The following days are free for visitors:
- Saturday, Sept. 26 in honor of National Public Lands Day
- Monday, Nov. 11 in commemoration of Veterans Day
Historic Jamestown recently received a $153,262 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for a new virtual tour which debuts in 2021: Rediscovering Jamestown: A New Way to Explore James Fort Virtual.
