James City County Supervisor Ruth Larson is hosting a virtual event for community members to share their thoughts and learn more about the county’s plans to revitalize waterfront properties.
Larson represents the Berkley district.
The event is open to the public. Participants can submit questions via the James City County Government’s Facebook Live event or via email.
“Community Conversations is a series of informal discussions between County staff and community members about local government issues,” according to the Facebook event page description. “It is an opportunity to take a deep dive into topics of interest to the community, ask lots of questions and share your thoughts.”
The Shaping Our Shores master plan focuses on Chickahominy Riverfront Park, Jamestown Beach Event Park and the James City County marina.
Attendees will hear an update about the county’s budget followed by the Q&A session, according to the event page.
The Community Conversations: Shaping Our Shores virtual discussion is on Aug. 25 at 4 p.m.
The event will be live streamed on JCC TV Channel 48 on Cox Cable as well as the county’s YouTube channel. For more information, contact Latara Rouse at latara.rouse@jamescitycountyva.gov or 757-253-6836.
