The One City Marathon is Sunday. Here are the road closures

Multiple roads throughout Newport News will close for the city’s annual One City Marathon on Sunday.

Residents and visitors should expect several intersections and partial or full road closures starting from Newport News Park to 25th Street downtown Newport News as early as 6 a.m. to as late as 8 p.m.

March 2-3 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

  • 25th Street (Washington Avenue to West Avenue)
  • 23rd Street (West Avenue to Cul-de-Sac)
  • 26th Street (Huntington Avenue to Cul-de-Sac)
  • 27th Street (Huntington Avenue to Washington Avenue)
  • 28th Street (Huntington Avenue to Cul-de-Sac)
  • West Avenue (23rd Street to 26th Street)

March 3 (various times)

  • 23rd Street (West Avenue to Huntington Avenue) – 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
  • 29th Street (Huntington Avenue to Warwick Boulevard) -7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
  • MLK I-664 Overpass (Huntington Avenue to Jefferson Avenue) 7 a.m. to 9 a.m
  • Constitution Way (Jefferson Avenue to Ft. Eustis Boulevard) ends at 9 a.m.
  • Fort Eustis Boulevard (Jefferson Avenue to Richneck Road) ends at 9 a.m.
  • Industrial Park Drive (Woodside Lane to Jefferson Avenue) ends at 9 a.m.
  • Woodside Lane (Ft. Eustis Boulevard Industrial Park Drive) ends at 9 a.m.
  • Edwards Court (Industrial Park Drive to Cul-de-Sac) ends at 9:30 a.m.
  • Flagstone Way (Industrial Park Drive to Cul-de-Sac) ends at 9:30 a.m.
  • Chapman Way (Industrial Park Drive to Cul-de-Sac) ends at 9:30 a.m.
  • Industrial Park Drive (Ridgeview Drive to Warwick Boulevard) ends at 9:30 a.m.
  • 61st Street (Warwick Boulevard to Huntington Avenue) 7 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

  • 23rd Street (West Avenue to Warwick Boulevard) 7 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • 25th Street (Warwick Boulevard to Huntington Avenue) 7 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
  • Warwick Boulevard (23rd Street to 29th Street) 7 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

  • Museum Drive (Museum Drive to Museum Parkway) ends at 1:30 p.m.
  • Museum Parkway (Riverside Drive to Cedar Lane) ends at 1:30 p.m.
  • Randolph Road (River Road to Burns Avenue) ends at 1:30 p.m.
  • Burns Avenue (Randolph Road to Franklin Road) ends at 1:30 p.m.
  • 42nd Street (Huntington Avenue to Washington Avenue ends at 3:00 p.m.
  • Washington Avenue (39th Street to 25th Street) ends at 3:30 p.m.
