
Police began an investigation Monday evening after two men were found shot in central Toano.
Around 9:23 p.m., James City County Police responded to the 7900 block of Sterling Court to the report of gunshots, according to a county news alert.
When police arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, both of whom were adults.
Medics transported one man to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center while the other man was transported to Riverside Doctors’ Hospital, and then transported by helicopter to Riverside Regional Medical Center.
“No further information is available at this time,” read the alert, which was released around 12 a.m. Tuesday.
The investigation is ongoing.
