YORK COUNTY — The York County Department of Fire and Life Safety responded to a residential fire 100 block of Low Ridge Road in the northern portion of York County Tuesday night.
According to officials, personnel responded at approximately 9:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Upon arrival, they encountered smoke coming from home. The fire was located in the kitchen and was quickly extinguished. Crews ventilated the home to clear the remaining smoke.
The home’s occupant safely exited the building prior to the arrival of Fire and Life Safety personnel, officials said, and was able to return to their home once ventilation was complete. There were no injuries.
Mutual aid assistance was provided by the Williamsburg Fire Department, officials said.
