York County Parks and Recreation

QUICK INFO

  • Program Dates: June through August
  • Website

York County Parks and Recreation has a variety of fun summer activities for all ages.

We offer several options of sports camps throughout the season such as golf, volleyball, soccer, and baseball which are hosted at our McReynolds Athletic Complex or our satellite sites. The following camps only have a few spots left:

  • Golf camp is being offered for boys and girls ages 8-16. This program is designed for junior golfers of all abilities. Camp staff will emphasize etiquette, rules, swing fundamentals and the short game. The camp will be held August 2 through 5.
  • Volleyball camp is being offered for boys and girls ages 12 -16. This all-skills volleyball camp will ignite and excite kids about the fun competition of volleyball. Players develop fundamental skills including serving, passing, setting, and hitting. Skill-based drills, as well as 3 v 3 and 6 v 6 wave competition drills, will be used to apply these skills at a high pace. Players have the opportunity to use these skills in game situations during tournament-style competition each day of camp while also learning the importance of team play. The camp will be held August 2 through 6.

Our week-long summer camp program might be full but registration is still being taken for our Field Trip Fever 2 session. This program is being offered August 2 through 6 at Magruder Elementary, Grafton Bethel Elementary, and Coventry Elementary. The registration deadline is July 16 but recommend registering now due to limited space.

There is a diversity of art camps for youth. Back Creek Park offers outdoor adventures with kayak rentals, trips, and weekly tennis camps. Additional tennis camps are offered at Kiln Creek Park as well.

The Senior Center of York is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a selection of fitness classes, clubs, health classes, and special events.

New Quarter Park is a 545-acre park open 7-days a week that offers eco-art nature camp, walking trails, mountain bike trails, disc golf, kayaking, basketball court, sand volleyball court, playground, and a new audio tour.

Stay happy, healthy, and fit with York County Parks and Recreation.
