BALTIMORE — Lionsbridge FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Christos FC on Saturday night, improving their record to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in USL League Two’s Chesapeake Division. With the win, Lionsbridge maintains its first-place position at the season’s halfway point.
The victory also marks Lionsbridge’s perfect 5-0 record on the road this season, with only one away trip remaining in July to Patuxent. The team will play five of its final six division matchups at TowneBank Stadium, where they have suffered just one defeat in their last 42 regular-season home games.
Claudel N’goubou opened the scoring for Lionsbridge in the 32nd minute. However, Christos FC equalized in the 40th minute with a counter-attack goal against the run of play. Christian Hatley secured the win for Lionsbridge with a decisive goal in the 50th minute, capitalizing on a rebound.
Lionsbridge FC returns home on Wednesday, June 12, for a match against D.C. United U23.
