HAMPTON — Virginia’s longest-running Anime convention is set to open its doors for its 25th con Nov. 3-5 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.

While known for Anime, the convention also covers other aspects of Japanese and Asian culture. There will be a wide variety of guests on hand, ranging from Voice Actors to authors and musical acts. This year’s theme is “Little Witch Catademia.”

There will be numerous activities for con-goers, including both guest and fan panels. There will also be concerts, contests, and dances to see or participate in, and a vendor hall and artist alley for shopping and purchasing fandom merchandise.

A full schedule of events and attending guests are available on the con’s official webpage.

“A lot of interesting costumes to see and a lot of fun people to meet,” said NekoCon Chairmen and Williamsburg resident Michael Meunier. “It’s overall a fun experience.”

“I hope everyone has a good time and comes out and enjoys all of the fun and excitement that goes into the event,” he added.
