York County Announces Sounds of Summer Concert Series Lineup

YORKTOWN — Yorktown’s Sounds of Summer concert series kicks off Thursday, June 2, at Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown with The Uptown Band.

The ten-week series will take place on Thursday nights from 7-9:30 p.m. through Aug. 11, with the exception of July 7, when no concert is scheduled. The series features a dance floor, cornhole, and to-go food available for purchase from a rotating roster of food trucks.

The full Sounds of Summer concert series lineup includes:

  • June 2 — The Uptown Band
  • June 9 — The Main Event Band
  • June 16 — Another Level
  • June 23 — Cat5 Band
  • June 30 — The Original Rhondels
  • July 14 — The Deloreans
  • July 21— The Tidewater Drive Band
  • July 28— The Adrian Duke Project
  • Aug. 4 — Band of Oz
  • Aug. 11 — Slapnation

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and patronize any of Historic Yorktown’s waterfront restaurants. Guests are permitted to bring their own blankets, chairs and small coolers. No tables, umbrellas, or tents will be allowed.

Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots. The complementary, wheelchair-accessible Yorktown Trolley will run from 5-10 p.m. on concert nights on a modified route that will include some stops on the outskirts of town.
