Yorktown Looking Forward to Biggest Christmas Market to Date

YORKTOWN — The annual Christmas Market on Main Street is set for Dec. 4 and 5 as in excess of ninety vendors, artists, food trucks and more set up shop on the streets of Historic Yorktown.

The two day event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. It will feature a wide selection of vendors selling everything Christmas ornaments, alpaca products, metal art.

There will be live music on display throughout the weekend, including performances by the Fife and Drums of York Town, the Strolling Trombone Quartet, and the Dickens Trio. There will also be a blacksmith demonstration next to York Hall, 301 Main Street.

On Saturday the Peninsula Model Train Club will have a display in the lower level of York Hall and the York County Fire & Life Safety will have the department’s oldest fire truck, a 1955 Dodge, parked at the corner of Main and Nelson Streets for most of the day.
